”Our life is an apprenticeship to the truth that around every circle another can be drawn; that there is no end in nature, but every end is a beginning, and under every deep a lower deep opens.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson.

As I soak in my last few minutes of 23, I sit and reflect on what an incredible life changing year I’ve had. 2010 has been a year of transitions, transformations and the evolution of who I am today. I have become a young woman that is passionate about life and the bliss that surrounds us everyday. I have learned that it is important to love unconditionally, to cut out any terms that we think are required for love and to just simply be love. I have discovered new passions, divulged deeply into old passions and now look forward to making these passions my life and my career.
—It has been a year of friendships. Friendships lost, friendships gained and friendships reconnected. All for which I am grateful because it has led me to those who I am surrounded by today. They are people who challenge me, who cherish each other and who do not tear one another down. I see these friendships flourishing and evolving even more in the upcoming year.
—It has been a year of singleness. A year with many heart fluttering crushes but no true romantic connections. A year to be a young woman with no attachments to anyone but herself and to simply have fun. I look forward to 24 as an age where I learn to completely open my heart and to see who cupid brings me.
—It has been a year of job insecurity. From an incredible internship to the reality of unemployment. From the daily grind of job hunting to a part time job that is not fulfilling. To now realizing that I can attain any job that I am truly passionate about and that brings me love and joy. 2011 will bring me that.
—It has been a year of a healthy lifestyle and a change of diet. I, along with a dear friend have another triathlon under our belt after a challenging commitment of training mostly on our own. It has been the year that I became a vegetarian and a flirt of the vegan lifestyle. It was the start of a life long commitment and now this year will be the beginning of a completely vegan diet and eco-conscious way of living.
—It has been a year of new apartments and relocations. From a house group of girls to an apartment on my own. From a college town to a town full of surfers. Now to my future location being unknown, but to knowing that where ever it may be, I will find happiness there.
****So here is to 24. To 2011. And to the Year of Fulfillment. Cheers.****
